Luma3DS is a program to patch the system software of (New) Nintendo 3DS handheld consoles "on the fly", adding features (such as per-game language settings and debugging capabilities for developers) and removing restrictions enforced by Nintendo (such as the region lock). Luma3DS started as a fork of ReiNand, and was originally called AuReiNand (or AuReiNAND), but was later renamed to Luma3DS. As of October 24th, 2016, Luma3DS is the most widely used CFW for the 3DS.
